Seuss Willems
Seuss Willems grew up wanting to be a librarian. His parents took him to the library a lot when he was a child and he loved books very much. It made sense to work in a library so he could be around as many books as possible. Seuss is also a big fan of cars and other vehicles, so he couldn't wait to jump into The Bookmobile and chase down The League of Library Loathers when they started plotting against his library.

Shelley Shakespeare
She never set out to become a Hero Librarian, but that is exactly what Shelley Shakespeare is. She wanted to be a writer, but she spent so much time reading other people's books that she never had time to write her own. Besides reading, she also loves technology. She decided to become a librarian so she could combine both her loves. When The League of Library Loathers came to her library, she put her sharp mind to use to defeat them.

Count Bibliophobe
The evil Count Bibliophobe was never read to as a child. He never discovered the wonderful places books can take you, and was jealous that others found so much joy in reading. He founded The League of Library Loathers to try to take away that joy of reading from children so they would be just as miserable as him. He recruited other members who also had not been read to as children.

Hench 1
Hench 1 was never taken to the library as a child. He and his brother grew up without books and spent all their time gaming and watching television. He never learned how much books can make you happy. Count Bibliophobe found him lurking in a video game store and invited him to be an evil henchman in The League of Library Loathers. He said yes because he was mad that no one gave him books when he was a child.

Hench 2
Like his brother, Hench 2 never found out how great books are. In fact, he never even learned to read. This made him sad. But instead of going back to school and learning, he spent his time hanging out at the video game store. When Count Bibliophobe asked him to be an evil henchman in The League of Library Loathers, Hench 2 said yes because he had nothing better to do.
